Colonel Michael Ogden

Colonel Michael Ogden is a native of Annapolis, Maryland. In 1992 he graduated from Bryan high school in Bryan, Texas. Prior to graduating High school he enlisted in the Navy under the delayed-entry program. After enlisting in the Navy, he was accepted to the Naval Academy Preparatory School, (NAPS) in Newport, R.I. Upon completion of graduating NAPS in 1994, he was accepted into the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. In May of 1998, he graduated the Naval Academy and was commissioned a 2ndLt in the Marine Corps.

As a Company Grade Officer Colonel Ogden served as a Rifle Platoon Commander, 3rd Platoon, Golf Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines; Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT) Platoon Commander, Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines; Inspector-Instructor, Charlie Company, 1st  Battalion, 23rd Marines; CAAT Platoon Commander, Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines; completed USMC Expeditionary Warfare School, and Commanding Officer, Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines.

As a Field Grade Officer Colonel Ogden was assigned as the Operations Officer, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines; Commanding Officer, Recruiting Station New Jersey; completed USMC Command and Staff College; and served as an Operations and Tactics Instructor at the Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group (MCTOG).

Colonel Ogden has completed deployments with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines, the 24th MEU, 26th MEU, 31st MEU, and 11th MEU.
