Sergeant Major Beau D. Rogers

               Sergeant Major Rogers was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Bartram Trail High School in June 2004. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2004 and attended Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. 
Upon completion of recruit training in October of 2004, Private Rogers was attached to Marine Combat Training Battalion for follow on training.  He was assigned the MOS of 1812: Armor Crewman. Private First Class Rogers completed Marine Armor Crewman Course in June of 2005. 
 
In July 2005, Private First Class Rogers was assigned to Delta Company, 2nd Tank Battalion in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. While attached with Delta Company, Lance Corporal Rogers deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from September 2005 to March 2006. 
 
In January 2007, Corporal Rogers was transferred to 3rd Battalion, 8th Marines to serve as a Tank Gunner for the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit. During this time, Corporal Rogers was promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
 
In March 2008, Sergeant Rogers was transferred to Delta Company, 2d Tank Battalion as a Tank Commander. In September 2008, he was assigned to Headquarters and Support Company, 2nd Tank Battalion to serve as the Battalion Legal Chief. 
 
In June 2009, Sergeant Rogers was transferred to Basic Recruiter Course as a student where he graduated in the top ten percent of his class. Upon completion of Basic Recruiter Course, Sergeant Rogers was assigned to Recruiting Substation Tallahassee, Florida and was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his tour, Staff Sergeant Rogers was assigned as an enlisted recruiter and then transferred to serve as an Officer Selection Assistant in Tallahassee, FL. 
 
In August 2012, Staff Sergeant Rogers was assigned to Bravo Company, 2d Tank Battalion in which he served as a Section Leader. He was later transferred to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines to serve as a Section Leader for the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. During his deployment, he participated in multiple exercises to include Operation Sea Solider and Operation Eager Lion.
 
In December 2013, Staff Sergeant Rogers was assigned to Bravo Company, 2d Tank Battalion in which he served as a Platoon Sergeant. During his assignment with Bravo Company, Staff Sergeant Rogers graduated from the M1A1 Abrams Master Gunner Course.
 
In June 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Rogers was assigned as the Company Training Chief for Inspector & Instructor, Bravo Company, 4th Tank Battalion. During this tenure, he participated in exercise Saber Strike and exercise Arrow.
 
In July 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Rogers was assigned to Delta Company, 1st Tank Battalion where he served as a platoon sergeant. In January 2019, Gunnery Sergeant Rogers was frocked to First Sergeant.
 
In January 2019, First Sergeant Rogers reported to 3d Battalion, 7th Marines and served as a Company First Sergeant for Lima, Weapons, and Headquarters and Service Company. During this time, he deployed to Australia in support of the Marine Rotational Force-Darwin deployment.
 
In June 2021, First Sergeant Rogers reported to the Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academy on Marine Corps Base Hawaii as the director. In May 2023, First Sergeant Rogers was frocked to Sergeant Major.
 
In June 2023, Sergeant Major Rogers was assigned to his current unit, Recruiting Station Portland.
 
Sergeant Major Rogers holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in lieu of second award with Combat Distinguishing Device), and the Combat Action Ribbon. He is married to Kelly Rogers from Jacksonville, Florida and they have one daughter: Sophia.
