Sergeant Major Antonio J. Colon

Sergeant Major Antonio Colon was born in Brooklyn, New York. He enlisted on 5 September 2000 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. In January 2001, Private First Class Colon reported to Camp Pendleton, California for Marine Combat Training and graduated in February of 2001. Sergeant Major Colon attended the Inventory Management Specialist Course at Camp Johnson, North Carolina and graduated in March of 2001. 
 
After completion of the Inventory Management Specialist Course, Private First Class Colon reported to 1st Supply Battalion, 1st Force Service Support Group, Camp Pendleton in March of 2001. In October 2002, Lance Corporal Colon was assigned as the Legal Admin Clerk for 1st Supply Battalion. While assigned as Supply Legal Chief Lance Corporal Colon was promoted to the rank of Corporal in September 2002.  
 
On November 2004, Corporal Colon reported to 2nd Recruit Training Battalion San Diego, California. While serving as the S-4 Chief for RTR Corporal Colon was promoted to Sergeant in November 2005.
 
Sergeant Colon attended Basic Recruiter Course 3-7 at MCRD San Diego on April 2007. Upon graduating, he was assigned to Recruiting Station Atlanta where he served as a canvassing recruiter. While there he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in July 2009.
 
In May 2010, Staff Sergeant Colon reported to Marine Wing Headquarters Squadron-3, 3rd MAW. While serving as the Supply Chief Staff Sergeant Colon deployed to Afghanistan in August 2010. 
 
Staff Sergeant Colon received orders to Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion (3D LAAD) as the Supply Chief in July of 2012. In November of 2014 Staff Sergeant Colon was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
 
In August of 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Colon received orders to 1st Marine Aircraft Wing G-4. While assigned to G-4 Gunnery Sergeant Colon was selected as a Supply Inspector for the Commanding Generals Readiness Inspection (CGRI), Logistic Readiness Program, and Container Control Officer (CCO).  
 
In May 2018, First Sergeant Colon was promoted  and was reassigned to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and assumed the duties of Company C First Sergeant. While at 3D AAV Battalion, First Sergeant Colon did two UPD deployments to Okinawa Japan.  
 
In February 2021, First Sergeant Colon was transferred to Deployment Processing Command/ Reserve Support Unit-West to serve as the Senior Enlisted Advisor.  
 
In May 2022, Sergeant Major Colon was promoted to his current rank and was reassigned to Recruiting Station San Francisco Sergeant Major.
 
Sergeant Major Colon's personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal with Gold Star in lieu of second award and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of third award and various other service and campaign medals.
