Major Patrick Kolb
Major Patrick Kolb is a native of Riverside, California. In 2013, he graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. He reported to The Basic School in May 2014, completed the Infantry Officer Course in March 2015, and reported to 2d Battalion, 2d Marines in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, in April 2015.
From April 2015 to June 2018, Major Kolb served as a Platoon Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Company Commander while assigned to 2nd Battalion 2d Marines. In 2016, he deployed in support of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan, participating in bilateral training exercises in the Philippines, South Korea, and Fuji, Japan. In 2017, he deployed in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response Africa, where he supported Crisis Response, Security Force, and Theater Security Cooperation Exercises in Greece, Italy, France, Germany, Romania, and Africa.
In June 2018, Major Kolb reported to The Basic School to serve as an instructor from 2018 to 2021. While assigned to The Basic School, he served as the Platoon Package Primary, Staff Platoon Commander for Delta Company 4-19, Company Executive Officer for Charlie 3-20, and Academic Learning Support Officer. In July 2021, Major Kolb attended the Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia.
In July 2022, Major Kolb reported to 3d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion and was assigned as the Company Commander for Company C. In April 2023, Company C attached to Battalion Landing Team 2/1 and deployed in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit and the 4th Marine Regiment Unit Deployment Program, participating in bilateral training exercises in Japan, Australia, and Indonesia. In January 2024, Major Kolb reported to Marine Corps Tactics and Operations Group and served as an Operations and Tactics Instructor.
In December 2024, Major Kolb reported to Recruiting Station Seattle, where he currently serves as the Commanding Officer. His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation with two Gold Stars in Lieu of third award and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
